Nation is now reaping the benefits of the ‘Charter of change of day’: IEB
"The fourth industrial revolution should be used to transform the energy of the youth into manpower. Building a smart Bangladesh will be possible only if the country's market can be transformed into a labor market using technology. The contribution of engineers will be the most in the formation of Smart Bangladesh. The nation is now enjoying the benefits of the ‘charter of change of day'”.
The leaders of IEB expressed their thoughts at the Closing Ceremony of the 60th Convention and National Seminar of the Institution of Engineers in Ramna of the capital on Monday (15 May).
Engineers opined that agriculture is getting modern and smart because of engineers. Engineers are working to make development more village-centric rather than confined to city boundaries.
The leaders of IEB also said that we should try to face all the challenges of the time through the fourth industrial revolution. The efforts of engineers should be increased to take Bangladesh forward.
In the Closing Ceremony, outgoing President of IEB Engineer Md. Nurul Huda, outgoing General Secretary Prof. Md. Shahadat Hossain Shiblu, outgoing Chairman of Dhaka Center, Eng. Mullah Mohammad Abul Hossain delivered their speeches.
The IEB President Eng. Md. Abdus Sabur, General Secretary Engineer SM Manjurul Haque Manju, Vice-President Engineer Khandaker Manjur Morshed, Engineer Md. Nuruzzaman. Finally, the outgoing Secretary of IEB Dhaka Center Engineer Md. Khairul Basar said his note of thanks.
It is to be noted that, the slogan of the 60th Convention was 'Innovative Engineering in the Fourth Industrial Revolution' and the theme of the national seminar was 'Fourth Industrial Revolution Preparedness in Society and Industry'. The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 60th Convention of IEB on May 13 (Saturday).
